I want to thank all of you for your kind responses. I am feeling much better today. We have even started surfing the Craigs List for a rescue dog.

Pat and I send our condolences. To paraphrase someone else, if pooches don't go to heaven, I want to go where they go. I expect Genie's the official greeter. We are incomplete still, as we wait to pick up our little Leo in a month.
