Did Holy Cross a few years back. Thought it would be easier than it was. That last vertical rise on the way out was a killer. Heard a few hikers have 'disappeared' in there. ??

Update from RMNP yesterday and the day before: snow gone below 9000', patches 9-10K, some deep snow (4 feet or more in spots) 10K to treeline- more of course in the deep woods and the north sides of things, above treeline snowfields alternating with bare patches and melting fast. Highs this weekend were around 50 at 12,000', so the streams and waterfalls were spectacular! And no bugs of course.
