Confusing trails (Lincoln Woods/Wilderness)

When did they put this in? Was it when they moved the campground? I only ask because if it was there when we shuttled that woman across it must have been under water if it was there. I have been there since 2003 and I have never noticed it.

I've always found that both trails for the first few miles are quite boring. The Franconia Brook trail, I guess it's called, is a little less populated though...
