cookware question from the clueless

I use a pocket rocket from MSR and a small inexpensive Coleman pot that I got at a garage sale. It's very easy to use and very reliable, something to keep in mind if it's your only source of flame. I'd never even heard of pepsi can stoves before joining VFTT last month, but my interest is peaked and I'm rummaging through my desk for spare change so I can go get a few mountain dews for this weekend's "project"....

my crazy old uncle hiked for years with an aluminum pot over one half of his sleeping bag and a nonstick pan with the folding handle for the rest. said thats all he ever needed for cookware

What ? Was he using the cookwear as a stuffsack ?
