After pondering the wave scene at Cranberry Lake village swimming beach, put in near Pine Cone in Wanakena. Paddled out to Dead Creek Flow to play in the wind and waves.

Lake level was high and that, coupled with wind and wave action, made for “interesting” landings/launches.

Much later ice out this year; last year was paddling Cranberry by late March.

All in all it was gorgeous day on the water and a good start to my paddling season on Cranberry.
