I'm contemplating a little ramble up to Flat Mt Pond this weekend to explore remains of old logging camps 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 of the Beebe Railroad. There's no point in going if there's snow on the ground. Can anyone advise or provide clues on what to expect for snow cover in this region? Elevation at Flat Mt Pond is approx. 2600'.

There's currently snow on the ground in Tamworth at just 500 feet. Not much, but it's a frozen layer of snow and ice. Although tomorrow's rain is likely to wash much of it away, I would definitely expect some to remain around FMP.

By Thursday, the rain will change to a brief period of snow before ending. This weekend will be colder with snow showers. I think the most you can expect up there would be about an inch, so I would say go.
