Debar Mt - How did it receive its name?

Does anyone have any information on how Debar Mountain got it's
name?. ( 44,36.366 N ,-74,12.983 W , Elevation 3175 )

It is located approx 6 miles SE of Duane Center in Franklin county ( 2 miles
SWS of Baldface Mtn.) There is also a Debar Pond at the mountains base.

Found this on the net.

"John Henry DeBar, a French-Canadian trapper, discovered the pond while on a hunting expedition in 1817. His son Lyman and his grandson George were rated as two of the best guides in Franklin County. Both the pond and the majestic mountain were given the family name. For more information, read "The Heydays of the Adirondacks" by Maitland C. Desormo."
