I’m heading to Baxter from Oct 2 – Oct 7. I’ve taken the southern route e.g 95 to Millinocket and the northern route back home e.g 95 to Rt.2 out of Pittsfield. Both took me 7 hours from Thornton, NH. This time I plan to take Rt. 2 to Rt.150 out of Skowhegan and then Rt. 11 out of Milo to Millinocket. Is anyone familiar with these two roads, Rt.150 and Rt.11?

Both Rt. 150 and 11 decent, but be careful of the logging trucks. They are under the mistaken impression that they own these roads. If I were you, I would make my way over to Auburn Maine and head north on the turnpike from there.
OBTW: I'm at BSP from 10/2-5 @ Kidney. Any idea what you're climbing itinerary is?

We are staying at Bear Brook Campsite near Roaring Brook from 10/2-9/08. I will be hiking most of the peaks e.g North Brother, Baxter, Hamlin, South Brother, Coe, Fort. There will be 42 of us so there should be a wide variety of hikes during the week.

I *so* misread that and thought you'd been at Baxter for 6 years. Ah, one can dream...
