OK, this was planned on another thread, but I thought I'd put it up :
A) to see if there's any more interest
B) so that Catskill Climber can revert his thread back to planning next weekend, as his thread is dated
Anyhow, CC and I plan to meet at Seager trailhead at the end of Dry Brook Road about 9:30 Saturday AM. We'll decide which peak to hit first that morning. This should be fun-my first time on that Seager trail was just a couple weeks ago, and it's a beauty.
Anyone care to come along and help w/ trail-breaking?
Also, I've been to both peaks in the warm months, but not winter. If there isn't a broken trail on the summit spurs, I hope we're still able to find where they leave the marked trail. I remember that the spur to Eagle's summit was across from some blowdown, and that the summit had a cairn in the middle of a clearing. I don't remember anything that would mark the Big Indian spur, but of course there is a canister at the summit. Any advice on finding the spurs if they're not broken?
