Bonds. Wilderness & Bondcliffs trails. "55th" complete loop of "NH 48".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Date of hike: March 28, 2009.

Conditions: Lincoln Brook Trail is packed snow & ice.
Bare bootable with light traction. The Wilderness,
Bondcliffs, & West Bond Spur trails are packed snow.
Snowshoes should be used to maintain the trails.
Lots of bare ledges and bare rocks on the Bondcliff
ledges. Light traction useful on patchs of ice & snow.
Streams either still bridged or easily passable.

Comments: A fine day for an out & back of the Bonds.
Temps mostly in the 30's on the summits and summit
ridges. Mostly sunny with views of 30-50 miles. Light
breeze of mostly less than 5 MPH.

West Bond completed my "55th" complete loop of the
"NH 48" four thousand footers.

My thanks to all who join on so many of my hikes.

I noticed this report in Trail Conditions. I thought it was a bad joke until I saw who posted it. I've only met Ed once, on Carter Dome with Paradox and Early Bird, I believe. Many here must know him well. Congratulations Ed !

Yup, he's a machine.

I wonder who actually posted it though, BECAUSE IT'S NOT ALL IN CAPS.;)

He's got an account here; he just needs to start using it.

Ed, drop me a line if you don't have the info.

PS - Way to go! Glad you're fully back at it.

If there was someone who needed all CAPS to tell their story... wouldn't that someone be Ed?

Congrats! Keep smiling and miling!

I hiked with him once to the Twins and Galehead - could barely keep up with him and his friends, all 10-15 years older than me. Great guy to hike with, he's all smiles all the time, and his love for the mountains really shows. It was also nice to share in his tradition of a post-hike PBR. ;)

Congrats Ed!
