A recent thread on Engine Hill has reminded me that I have always wondered why Engine Hill (3,091') is so popular even though it is not on any list, while Engine Hill S Peak (3,244') is on the NH200 Highest and NH3,000 Ftr lists. Perhaps the reason is that Engine Hill is close to the bushwhack used when hiking to Isolation from the Rocky Branch Trial. I also assumed that the required 200' between the two peaks does not exist and that is what eliminates the 3,091' peak from lists. Any thoughts?
