Trail Conditions: a few downed trees, a few small ripe blueberries just below Marble Mt. quite a bit of mud, especially on "herd path" to Esther.
Special Equipment Required: special fog/cloud cutting glasses, really no views while I was on Esther or Whiteface although on the way down it did begin to clear so I could see Esther from the Wilmington curve & from the trail north of Esther looking back I could see Whiteface. (then it began raining!)
Comments: Optional - With a cairn & a sign at the junction with the Wilmington trail & bog bridges (I understand the need to lessen impact) it's hard to think of this as a herdpath. My 2nd time on Whiteface, I liked this approach over the Connery Pond approach. 57 degrees & no visbility kept the number of people up top real low. #31 & 100. Going back this weekend for a couple of more!
