Is anybody familiar with EXP Adventures?

Evidently they are an adventure travel agency located somewhere in New York. Their website includes no specific details concerning their actual location that I could find.

This link goes to a description of a trip to the White Mountains they are promoting as one of their destinations.

Looks like they send their guests home tired, at least.

Would be interesting to see if they have an outfitter guide permit for the WMNF.

.

There is a phone number you could do a reverse search on. Looks like three guys trying to start a business. Price seems reasonably for what a (potentially has never been north) person is getting.

Wow, it's a pretty ambitious trip. Plan was for Columbus Day weekend, Leave Boston at 5 PM get to PNVC and hike up to Hermit Lake? How far in advance would you need to plan that Columbus Day weekend? Any ideas on when they might arrive at PNVC on a Friday evening of a three day weekend? And then day one includes an early start?

I'd think they are catering to West Coast & foreign hikers as you'd have to be used to night hiking, fairly rugged terrain, some discomfort, (missed any mention of porters) Peak count seems to include sub peaks, Clay, Webster, Little Haystack, from Washington, Clay isn't much of a "peak", great view, but less climbing then going over Little Monroe and not much different than the Pierce false summit. I'd be more prone to avoid some of those locations that weekend due to the crowds.

This trip allegedly was to happen 2 months ago but doesn't appear in their blog. Wonder if nobody signed up, or if it was too big a disaster to report on.

Apparently they made it to Washington, then the rest of the trip didn't quite go as planned. I still don't understand the comment on the gear list that says that sleeping bags can't be carried in the backpacks, they must be left in the vehicles but "must be carried to campsites by the participants". Yet they planned to stay at Hermit Lake shelter and Ethan Pond shelter. Not exactly quick trips from the car to grab the sleeping bags...

Oh boy, paying loads of cash for rain and being socked in! Sounds like a great time! Money well spent.....

I don't know these guys, have no vested interest and I didn't analyze the itinerary before responding, but nobody can control the weather or the condition of other members of the group.
Guided hikes I've been on are a "best efforts" basis: no guarantees. One guy on Rainier hardly got past the parking lot at Paradise: No refund for the guides or his travel and gear costs.
