Falling Waters was ice free until the last 1/4 mile and then only a little. Franconia Ridge was dry and clear to LAfayette. Greenleaf was a icy down in the scrub just above the Greenleaf Hut but nothing you couldn't step around and still stay on the trail. Old Bridal had a little ice near the top but nothing more.

The biggest issue was the trash on the Falling Waters trail. Going up I found a fleece glove which was dry and clearly recently dropped. Then I some candy wrappers. A few hundred yards up from that I found a cell phone right in the middle of the trail. A few hundred yards up from that I found a plastic supermarket bag full of trash. A quarter of mile up from there i found energy bar wrappers lying right in the middle of the trail. Of course, I packed all this out but it was very disturbing to find. I never found anyone who might have been responsible for the debris.

When I got back to the trailhead, I left the glove and the cell phone on a post near the parking lot. Very sad to see.
