Cool video! Adds a new perspective that pictures lack. I just picked up a Canon A430 with 30fps video and sound for $112 and can't wait to take it on a hike. It made great videos of the fireworks on the 4th of July.

Keep the videos coming!!

It's all a farce, the Skookumchuck & Greenleaf trails - below the hut are awful crowded trails (Sorry to my firend who maintains part of Greenleaf) :D :D :D

Don't take these trails, stick to the OBP, Falling Waters loop :D :D

All Kidding aside, while the more common trails up to F-Ridge feel like a thruway on occasion, these trails are peaceful & narrow (well narrow when compared to others providing access to F-Ridge, Osseo is nice too.)

A small group of us did this loop the same day Mohammed did, and had a nice visit together on the summit of Lafayette. We spotted a car at Skoocumchuck, and went up Greenleaf. Personally, I prefer to ascend Greenleaf as it's steep, and the rocks can be extra slippery when wet. We waited until the rain ended, about 9:30AM, before starting up, and was on the ridge as the sun was coming out. A very beautiful hike. Met 3 thru hikers coming south around N. Lafayette. Due to all the wet weather, there's more sandwort in bloom above treeline, both here and in the Presis, than I've ever seen before.

I may be mistaken, but I think this is the first time I met Kevin without Brutus! Hmm, was Brutus with us on our first winter ascent of Zealand?

May also be the first time I hiked with Kevin outside winter, though I seem to recollect a Mooilauke AMC hike in non-winter conditions. Come to think of it, I am not sure that Brutus was with us on that hike.

Be that as it may, I have always associated Kevin with Brutus and with winter. I hope to do a few more winter hikes with them before I hang up my boots.

Mohamed -

The hike to Zealand was a few years before Brutus came into my life (who, by the way, stayed in California this week) - didn't we climb part-way together up Falling Waters sans Brutus several years ago?

Kevin
