Pine Hill/West Branch trail to the lean-to and bushwhack to the summit.
The initial steep rocky section is very icy, but there was too much exposed rock for crampons. The rest of the trail is packed to the lean-to (no post holing, so no need for snowshoes). There is a packed trail to the summit of fir from a large party last weekend, so there was no need for snowshoes (again no post holing).
There was enough solid ice and exposed rock to make it easy to cross the streams.
This will all change since we are currently having some sort of icy precipitation.
