First Snow of the Season

Snowing out in Gorham at 1400 feet near Randolph line. Given the forecast for cold temps and timing, I expect the snow guns will be running hard this week, Wildcat had a few patches of manmade snow on Friday but expect Saturday made a dent in it.

And a -30 wind chill at the summit this morning. Fall is so over.

No accumulation at my elevation but my guess is down to 2500 feet on Howker Ridge trail.

Latest forecast (Monday, 11/14) says 6-12 for the Whites and mountains of western Maine on Wednesday.

Not necessary on Mt. Blue, Me., but studs or at least having chains with you, is advisable if you want to drive all the way to the trailhead.
