We found a tent deep in the Pemi. Don't know how long it has been there. It doesn't smell good, but appears to be intact.

It belongs to "Sasquatch". He doesn't smell very good either. :)

This is his pet. I photographed him in VT. He gets around. I like the antlers!

Could it have been there as long as a couple of years?

Can't tell how long it's been there. Still in its bag. I took it out and set it up in my backyard. Had a devil of a time peeling the fly open - it was all stuck together. At first I thought I would rip the fly while peeling it open.
Surprisingly, no animal or rodent damage. Just stained and with a heavy moldy smell. Who knows, maybe it always had a moldy smell - right Maddy?

How do you know he doesn't smell very good?

Like so many others before me, I have seen (and smelled) him up close. AS we all know he is rather elusive and moves at great speed.

I thought the tent was set up when it was found.
He must have dropped it running thru the woods.

I can't remember the name... but this post immediately made me think of the guy who died up near South Twin (I think) in the winter a number of years ago. I know they were looking for his tent, but never found it. Might be worth calling the rangers about it?
