Georgian Bay

I've kayaked in the Tobermory area twice now, including a day trip around Flowerpot and Cove Islands. Now, I'm inspired to do the crossing from Tobermory to Manitoulin in summer '10 (ride the ferry back)- has anyone here done that trip? This will likely lead to a 2011 kayak trip with the shores of Manitoulin Island as the primary destination.

No luck here, but I found some good info about Georgian Bay kayaking on Paddling.net from a Chicago area paddler who posts to a blog on a site called CASKA (Chicago Area Sea Kayakers Assn.). If you're into kayaking big water, you've got to paddle on Georgian Bay!
