Thanks to some hard work from Madeline Morrissey (username "HIATIS", who is peak_bgr's better half :D ), Views From The Top polypro shirts are now available to the masses. To get your shirt(s), just go to the VFTT homepage and click on the link for polypro shirts:

http://www.vftt.org/

The short sleeve shirts come in all sizes, many colors, and two choices of logo placement. There is also a long sleeve shirt that comes in green with a small logo. Short sleeve shirts are $17 and long sleeve shirts are $19. Shipping is $2.50 per order, so order a big pile of them! ;)

Big thanks to Maddi for putting this together!

See you on the trail in your new VFTT shirt! I expect to see summit t-shirt photos from everyone!

I apologize if I'm being totally blind, but I don't see a link regarding polypro shirts on the home-page. Help?

1) pewter is grey

2) if you dont see the link on the homepage it is because you need to refresh it (your browser is pulling up the old page out of your local cache). Click on the refresh button - it's the one with the arrows in a circle (in IE) that kind of looks like a recycle logo. You might have to hold down the CTRL key while you click on the refresh button to force a reload.

Thanks, refresh seemed to do the trick. Weird that it didn't show up even after logging out and back in until I refreshed.

Shirts look great! Will wait until I can look at the samples at the gathering so I order the right size.

It's not a function of loggin in/out of my website. It is how your internet browser works. Back in the day, when everyone had slow dial up modem connections, browsers would download the page you are reading and save it to a local cache on your hard drive. If the next day you went back to the same page, the browser looks into your history sees that you have already been there and loads the page from your local hard drive instead of downloading it again over the slow modem.

Your browser is just getting the old homepage from your local hard drive. When you hit the refresh button, you are forcing it to download the new page from my server.

Probably more than you wanted to know... ;)

Back in what day? I still have a slow dial-up connection. :) But I can browse at work so I don't need a fast connection at home, I can dl anything large at work and take it home.

Blue,

Maddi posted in another thread that she would bring samples, one in every size, so that people could place orders . . . I believe this is an on order basis instead of a buy a ton and see what people buy thing . . .

I will be buying a couple myself after I figure out what size I am now . . . :)

shirt fit

these are all men's right? i'm looking at the xtra small and that's 38" chest? any input on this from other women who have tried them on?

shadowcat,

Maddi might be the only woman who has tried them on since the sizes Darren had at his house when I was there were XL? If you will be at the Gathering you'll probably have a chance to try them on and if not I can PM you the size that fit me based on my measurements.

Apology

Hey everyone. Don't give me too much credit. I need to make a correction already.

I will bringing shirts to the winter gathering so people can choose the right size. I did not order in bulk. I will be taking orders and then ordering appropriately.

Now here is the apology. When the sample shirts I ordered came in I found out the prices changed as of Jan 1. I never even thought of the manufacturer putting 2005 prices into effect.

Short sleeve shirts sizes XS-L are still $17 BUT XL-3x are now $19 and long sleeve shirts are $20 XS-L with $22 for XL-3X.

I hope no one is too pissed at me.I really am sorry.

Gender Change

Alright now, Darren did say I am Peak_Bgr's better half. So, I decided to post my apology under his name. NOT REALLY! I just lost track of whick one of us was on the site last. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

Just so everyone knows, as Maddi (peak_bgr :) ) said the shirts are not a bulk order. A few were ordered as samples and all future shirts will be made on a per individual order basis. It might have been a little cheaper if we had done a bulk order, but that is way too much money to front. Even if the price was down to $15 a shirt for 100 shirts, I dont think any of us has $1500 to put up for a big order like that.

So, the individual shirts cost a little more, but at least we get the ability to have them. Also, just to be clear, the shirts are being sold at cost. There is no money from shirt sales going to the website, to Maddi, or to a charity. It's just an opportunity to get a VFTT shirt if you want one.

Once again, big kudos to Maddi for volunteering to handle all of this. From dealing with patches and decals, I know it can be a pain in the butt taking orders and mailing stuff out. Thanks Maddi!

Will they be available at.....

The "48" movie premiere at Pinkerton Academy?

Maddi, no worries about the being pissed part, this is a great thing you have done.

Lets look at the alternative, its a dark and stormy night, Maddi is in her
la-bor-a-tory (in front of puter) trying to come with ways to bait and switch the hiking/climbing community, the lightning flashes, her trusted minion Igor (peak-bagr) shuffles into the room, the hump on his bag reading alpine lowe.

You fill in the rest......

Thank you so much Maddi I will wear mine with great satisfaction and gratitude
