MT. MADISON, N.H. -- Two 17-year-olds disoriented by a rainstorm atop New Hampshire's Mt. Madison were helped out of the White Mountain National Forest Monday after spending the night in the wilderness.
Fish and Game Lt. Doug Graleski said Greg Sholomoth, of Danvers, Mass., and Nicholas Eudenbach, of Newton, N.H., reached the summit Sunday afternoon in a thunderstorm, but took the wrong path off the mountain.
Graleski said a 911 cell phone call from the boys did not have enough information on their location, but another group of hikers provided them with shelter overnight and the teens came off the mountain Monday.
