Look like 2' in my yard in Gorham but with the wind blowing, its difficult to get a uniform depth. When I go knock off the snow off the solar panels, I will check again.

On Dec 22nd, as of about 10:15 AM at my home in Bethlehem, I measure a TOTAL of about 18 inches of snow that has fallen since Friday (Dec 19th), as shown in the photo below.

I drove into town, and in typical New England fashion, all the roads are clear, and all the village sidewalks have been cleared.

I am white with envy you guys, geez, mister man, all we've had here are threatened "winter storm watches/warnings" that never got beyond the real categorization of "winter weather advisory", to which I would advise getting better forecasters.
Where are the days I miss so much when your $5 sled you bought from the Rich's in Gorham would take you airborne, land you in a corkscrew, then spin backwards so you could rack your spine directly against the cable support of a lightpole? Nothing like tightly wound inch-and-a-half cable at 15 degrees. Talk about shaking up your spinal cord. If you have children you love, let them schuss down the Route 2 embankment above the State Garage at the end of Stag Hollow Road. The only place better is the ski jump landing at Nansen.
Enjoy thoroughly everyone. There's nothing down here where we are. I can't wait till February.

Waterville Valley: 8" through Saturday morning, another 16" Sunday AM through this AM. Total of about 24" for the weekend, on top of a few inches last week... there's a lot of snow out there. I was knee-deep in fluff when I went out to extract my car half an hour ago -- and I am 6' 2" tall.

Now it's starting to blow around pretty good, too. Unfortunately, all that fresh pow and the summit lifts at the ski area were on hold much of the morning due to high winds.

I think your estimate is close. My scientific method which measured 22", involved standing next to the snowblower 'cut' and noting it was just above the knees. The yardstick measures 20" at the center of my kneecaps.

It really stinks that all this high quality snow is probably going to get locked up under a crust.

Mark....never made it over to Narrow Guage, Sluice was total ungroomed pow-- 32 inches!! What a leg burner!!! Besides, Binder is my favorite. :)

As if 32 inches of snow at Sugarloaf wasn't exciting enough -- imagine our surprise to find 15 inches of freshies at our house in Waltham!!

:D

Hey, one mans crust is another mans base!. Skiers may not like crust bit A snowfall like this gets rid of most of the whips, once a crust forms. It makes for better bushwhacking:D as you can normally walk on top of the blowdowns. Almost time for a Bemis trip!
