With the favorable weather forcast for yesterday, there was only one option, something above treeline. A couple of years ago we hiked up the Edmonds Path and really enjoyed it. So, that's where we started. We made Eisenhower in no time. At this point Jefferson and Washington still had some summit clouds. We only stopped on Eikes summit long enough for a couple of photos and were off on the Crawford path. The day was shaping up to be special as there was almost no wind, warm temps and improving views. We decided to hit as many summits as possible so we hit Franklin, then both Monroes. Things were going really well. We both were energized by the views and great weather. By this time a gentil west wind blew off the remaing clouds and Washington was clear. The hike down to the hut went quickly, but we didn't stop. I know how quickly clouds come and go and Washington was still looking good. The hike from the hut went quickly and as we were approaching the summit we heard our names being called out. Great to see you again Silver Fox. We also had the pleasure of meeting not so Grumpy Gram. Nice meeting you Mary. The rest of the climb went well. We had the usual summit circus. Only stayed long enough for water refills and photos. We both wished we had a car spot as we would have liked to summit Jefferson, but we were greatful for the day we had. The hike down was uneventful. We retraced our steps and were back down in no time. The Edmonds and Crawford are in great shape. First time this year we made it back with dry feet. I forgot how much ground you can cover when its nice and dry. Being some what electronically challenged pictures might follow.
