Great Swamp, Patterson NY

About 65 miles north of NYC. Lots of birds, beaver dams, not a house was seen for app 6 miles. It's a watershed, river runs for 20 miles. We spotted cars and paddled North to South from Patterson to Brewster NY. Will go back for foliage. Hope the link works

Did you paddle all the way to the resorvoir? (How do you spell resorvoir?)

OK I saw from your photos you ended at Green Chimneys.(still in Patterson) You could continue south to East Branch Res. altho there are water shed issues at the takeout...Milltown Rd. in Southeast aka Brewster. Also a public launch on Wheeler Rd in Wingdale, only a couple of navigable miles in the north flowing part of Great Swamp.
