Date Hiked: April 18, 2008
Special Equipment: Good hiking boots
Trail Conditions: Wet, muddy, running water and downed trees.
Usually this trail is a wide hiker highway but today there were many downed trees and branches on the trail. The ice storm in early March caused a lot of trees to come down or lose limbs. The downed trees turned the trail into more of a challenge.
Comments: Even on a Friday, by the time I got down to the parking lot at 11 AM when I finished the hike, the lot was full. The wildflowers on the trail have not yet started, perhaps in another 2 weeks.
