Hi my friends & ennemy.
In this last day of 2007, We need 5 peaks to cath the half way for this winter 2007-2008.
We strat from the Garden parking few minutes after 7 a.m., under snow falling and in perfdect snowshoes tracks, We have a rabbit in from us.
We speak with the rabbit, his goal Marcy.
The first goal for Junior Saddleback, We stay with new snowshoes tracks before the lean-to. After this point between 3" to 5" the new snow unfornutaly the last people(s) hike without snowshoes and made all the time bad holes 6" and probabely 1000 holes over 12', it was particulary mad when We start the steep part, the snowshoes crampons can not make the good job and many time We backspined. This situation finish not very far before the Saddleback-Gothics junction.
The new snow help by the wind erased all the snowshoes tracks from the junction to the Saddleback summit.
Same snow conditions before the tress line in the Gothics trail,, icy very windy in this section, We can not stop just up and up. Ouf!! We are happy to catch the trees line over the slide.
Without snowshoes tracks from the Sawteeth-Gothics junction. more windy in the Gothics edge and very nice inpressive corniche in the summit. The summit now is a perfect edge.
We are very lucky, We find perfect snowshoes tracks coming and returning in the other side of Gothics summit. We meet 3 young men near the Armstrong summit, They are eating just at the trees line. Thank You very much We save a lot of time with this nice gift.
We need to broken the trail from the col to the LWJ summit.
We return in the trail broken and stop at the lean to to tell "Thans" at this 3 men.
Fast down and without trouble to go out. Time for today 8 hours 14 minutes.

P.S. If the new snow coming tomorrow(6" to 10"), may be all the snowshoes tracks will be just a story!!!!
