Hartford CT to Conway routes & construction ?

Chip, the weather gods and the gas price gods made this Columbus day weekend pretty special.

Please respond to this thread with your local experience navigating the roads.

We left western CT at 6:06 on Saturday morning and went straight up 91 to Fairlee then 25a and 118, or whatever, to Lincoln in 4 1/2 hours. We lost about 20 minutes to the craft fair traffic there and headed over the Kanc, not bad. Conway on 16 was bumper to bumper, but we only had to do that 1 mile stretch and headed straight to Stark Rd, then Cove Rd on Conway Lake. So we lost about 1/2 hr to traffic getting there. The rest of the weekend the main drag in Conway was bumper to bumper, but we skirted on the side roads, or were traveling at odd hours. So many people "driving through" did sit long time, but we were happily hiked and laked in the perfect weather !

Later I'll post a few pics of the Whites from Conway Lake, very nice !
