Here comes the first real snow for the Whites!

Well it might be the WHite Mtns yet, but Buffalo picked up 8.3 inches of snow Thursday! Lake effect is in high gear.

I just heard it's up to 2 feet now!

Lafayette has had a white dusting all day above about 4800' and the north-facing Cannon ski trails are white above about 3800'.

You bet Waumbek. I saw that myself. Also the Presis have a little bit of white from Madison to Pierce that's very noticeable.

Looks like it snowed all the way below 3,000 feet last night...check out the Zealand Trail in these pics

There is a better chance of actual accumulating snow later tomorrow night and early Sunday with a weak system moving thru.

Hiked Falling Waters to OBTrail today. Snow was 2" in the shade as well as ice above 4000'. Not enough for crampons yet, but treacherous enough that several in our group took some spills.

There was a dusting of snow in places on top of Webster today as well. Beautiful day, though. Great hike. Webster Cliff Trail is awesome!
