Regarding the first one...the cover photo alone is worth the price of the book.

The chapter where he has to fish all the chickens out of the river is one of the funniest things I've ever read.

Seeing the cover of the first book makes me smiles. Just this weekend, when we went camping...as my girlfriend was removing a carabiner that keeps the doors to a trash container "tamper proof" against bears, she said "What, are they really afraid a bear will be able to lift those?"
