high peaks frosted with first snow

Last night gave our peaks their first good snow of the season. From Marcy down to around 3500 feet. Very pretty.

Looks like it may have been a little lower than 3500, good news (IMO) either way! (at least if it's going to be cold enough for a jacket it could look nice! )

Snow picture

OK - I was out there this weekend and took this (not the best picture, but it shows the snow falling on the Northville-Lake Placid trail southeast of Spruce Lake; it kept switching between snow-sleet-hail-rain all day, but the snow didn't stick down at that elevation):
