Hiker Rescue in Maine

I expect this hiker was a bit in over his head, initially it was figuratively and expect it became literally.

Not a lot of detail. Why not hunker down and let the storm blow out? Where on Puzzle was he located?

This one was lucky. Good he had a verified location and the searchers got him in three hours. I can't imagine he had a lot of time in those conditions. Kudos to the rescuers. Probably should have stayed put but more details may come. Hard decision to make to stay even if it's the right one.

While I understand the thought, I couldn't help but be amused by this:

I laughed a bit too. Good thought but maybe not the best time to pontificate about good hiking practices.
