Skimom, nice report. You look very familiar in your avatar photo. I think we've met in the forest somwhere.
You'll love the views next time, but there's something special about a foggy, misty day in the mountains.
I think the smell was rotting leaves, which might explain why the smell went away only when you got near the peaks, away from the hardwoods. This week, the smell is at its' peak, and I love it! November is special.
