It was really neat watching the far western edge of the storm trying to push into the Whites.
A very specific cloud bank edge could be seen off to the East.
Then, thin, low lying clouds started to slither in around each mountain mass.
The top of Carrigain was the first to be enveloped, then Mt Crawford. Very late, Mt Clay was covered in a veil, while the rest of the Presi peaks remained in the clear. The lower clouds had run up North West, and were encasing the Randolph peaks, as the higher peaks remained uncloaked. Even still, Loon Mt would be covered before the higher summits.
And as the sun was setting, which was at first a brillant orange, and then softened to pink with purple, the summit of Lafayette was starting to be over taken by a white cape. Most of Grafton County didn't see even a sprinkle of rain, yet just over in Carroll County it was raining hard.
Nor Easter typically have a very hard time pushing into this area.
