Icing on the Cake -- Forecast Icing Levels

Those interested in knowing whether to carry Tevas, Stabilicers, or crampons on the next hike might be interested in the NWS Aviation Weather Center's Current/Forecast Icing Potential page. .

Think of it as a GIS system for the friction-challenged. I recommend looking at the 3000 and 6000 foot slices and then (EDIT) INTERPOLATING roughly. (Can't believe that I used "extrapolating" the first time around! Guess that all you math/techie types out there were too polite, or too busy, to comment.)
