..I'm Mr. Sun.
Well, it was certainly a nice sunny day saturday when a few of us hiked Storm King Mtn, just south of Newburgh, NY, a bunch of loops by North Point and then down towards the southern part of the park. Apparently, the bridge that was out must of been fixed because the last time I was there (in 2006) there were signs all over indicating some bridge was out. A pretty nice day, was a bit windy at the start and we did a nice 12ish mile hike with great views overlooking the Hudson and Breakneck Ridge. Then MattC and I did a side trip to whack on some old woods roads as on the map and would up at some old homestead right on the hudson, complete with woods road leading to it with some really cool stonework that was used to drain water from washing out the roads and some usual stone ruins that we walked through. A very nice hike on a nice fall day, we did a little birdwatching and duck watching and even train watching and since there was an Army-Air Force football game going on in West Point, army Helicopters were flying around all day!!! Army, lost though, 16-9 I would later find out.
