So, this one is pretty easy and basic.
The snow is heavily packed, easy to walk on and at the time of the hike, very dense and moist (very warm up there yesterday). That includes the crossing of the peaks. North Carter had not (at this point) been hiked to apparently and since we didn't have snowshoes, decided to forego that little foray. Microspikes (and from what other hikers told us - snowshoes) were generally not even helpful due to how sticky the snow was.
