My family and I will be camping in Newcomb next week. Unfortunately, I need to attend a webconference on Monday. Does anyone know if there's anyplace that I can get access to an internet connection and phone line so I can participate in the webcon? (I know, I know. You're all thinking, "It's vacation. Skip it." Would if I could.) Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am willing to drive a couple hours if I need to - Newcomb's not exactly the center of the world wide web.

Try calling the Clinton Essex Franklin Library System, located in Plattsburgh, NY, 518 563 5190. It has member libraries in North Hudson, Schrron Lake, Tupper Lake, Keene Valley and numerous other places. Many of the public libraries in NYS are connected to the net. If there is no member library on the net that is usable, System staff might be able to point you somewheres.

North Creek Main street is a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Otherwise the libraries are a good suggestion. I'm pretty sure Newcomb doesn't have a public library.

Long Lake

it maybe too late for the advice, but Long Lake now has an Internet Cafe. Behind the Library. This is a new business, and they would appreciate the patronage.

Have a turkey wrap, and ask my cousin Beth (she works there)to wrap it for you. She is very proud of her mad wrapping skills(as apposed to mad rapping skills).
