Is there a Geologist in the House?

Hello,
I am looking to see if anyone knows of a Geologist (Professional or knowledgeable amateur ) in the Littleton NH area. I am looking for some help or suggestions in teaching some young kids (1st and 2nd grade) about the different types of rocks and wanted ideas of quick, easy,free to get to places where they can see such types.

In the Conway area, Tin Mountain Conservation Center has some very nice kits which MIGHT be borrowable that are suitable for 3rd grade level or so. There are a few ideas below, as well. Good luck!

Oh, you might also check to see if there is a gem and mineral club active in your neck of the woods. Saco Valley Gem and Mineral Club used to meet at TMCC's Nature Center (they may still) and they might possibly know of someone closer to your area that would be willing to give some of their time.
