I just got a short note from Jean and Nat. I'll excerpt a small part:

We are finally back to Mendoza!

On January 29 around 3pm Nathalie, myself and 3 other members of our team summitted Aconcagua. We started our bid a 4:15am from camp 2 with about 3,600ft of elevation left and got back at 5pm. The last 2,000ft of ascent took us 6hrs (taking 3 breaths for each step).

That says it all :)

I sat at my computer, yelled "YEAH", pumped my fist in the air, and sat back and smiled! What an accomplishment!

sweet!!! think I met these 2 once before.

thanks for the news sherpa - not an easy climb -congrats to them :D :D

hopefully we will hear the same news from a few other VFTT freinds soon enough.

Congrats to Jean and Nat! :) :) :)

I was behind Jean this past summer when we did the presi traverse in the rain and Jean took a nice spill coming down off Adams towards T-storm junction. Got a nasty gash in his hand which was hard to stop the bleeding in the rain.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Plus, now when they're talking about their experience, imagine how many times they'll get to say Aconcagua, which is a fun word to say.

Yeah, and they can add that to 'Kilimanjaro'! :D

Les félicitations à Jean et Nat!

Félicitation Jean et Nathalie !

This is fantastic ! I hope someone will set a Montreal beer night when they'll come back home. I can't wait to hear about the whole adventure.

Thanks everybody!

We got just got back home yesterday. I will be sorting out my notes and pictures over the weekend and will post a detailed trip report.
I must say it was a wonderful experience!

Good luck to Frodo, Arm and Mountaingirl who are attempting the Polish Glacier route later this month.
