I bought the tires last night; I'll put them on today, and if my back feels healed I'll start riding on them next week as soon as the weather forecast doesn't say "rain".

To answer SherpaK's question about how to route a donation via a specific rider, when you're on the VFTT team page there are two tabs - "Team Page" and "General Team Donation". If you click on the first tab you'll see a list of the team members. Just click on a name and then follow the steps from "their" page.
It doesn't matter too much; they allow us to spread the team money out over everyone so that the riders can all make their minimum required contributions to participate.
