do you think these would be enough to get pretty high up on tuckerman's ravine (given frozen granular spring conditions)??

Hmmm...

In my experience they would be better than bare booting but not optimal. Under steep conditions (i.e. Tucks) and when snow is loose (like granular corn) you want to "bite" deeper and MS don't give you that. Also MS lose some of their traction when you can't place your sole flat against the ground. IMHO of course.
