The King Ravine Trail is the funnest trail I've ever hiked. A big, steep jungle gym with huge boulders. Up King Ravine Trail, with side trips to the Subway and the Ice Caves...yes, there is ice there, and it was soooo cold in there....awesome. To Adams, then Madison. Down Valley Way. Summits were constantly in and out of very fast-moving low clouds. Perfect temps and breeze.

Give Great Gully trail a try sometimes, even more fun and less people.

Hard to beat the day

My favorite place in NH, thanks for the great pics. As a 17 year old this was my 1st hike into the whites an the 1st view into the floor of the ravine was amazing to say the least. I need to return there soon. Made it halfway up the Great Gully a few years back but my knee was telling me think again. It remains on my to do list. Really surprised to see the ice in the caves after this non winter and baked and dry summer. Lets go winter!!
