Date of Hike: Saturday, November 30th

Trails: Old Bridle Path, Greenleaf Trail, Franconia Ridge Trail, Falling Waters Trail

Trail Conditions: snow, ice, ice covered snow on Old Bridle Path. Greenleaf Trail and Franconia Ridge Trail is more of the same except there are some wind swept bare spots. Falling Waters Trail, the first half mile below treeline has a lot of ice, some places I had to hug the trees on the side of the trail and go off a little bit. The trail just above Cloudland Falls to Staircase falls is snow, ice, ice covered snow. All the waters crossings were rock hop-able.

Special Equipment: Light traction (microspikes or hillsounds)

Comments: Definitely would have been easier navigating the icy sections heading up Falling Waters but I was prepared for that and just used caution and was fine. Incredible sunrise hike with alpine glow above the Kinsman Ridge and was very lucky to have no wind early in the morning up on the ridge with abundant sunshine, 100 mile views! Report / Pictures
