Uh--sorry but I don't think I'd rate any of the menu offerings at Brenda's any where near the caliber of the Common Man, that said its wicked close to our campground so there is definite enlightened self interest there (referring to me and MJ). 
Think its a bit small for any type of Vittles sized gathering, but I think we'd be welcome.
Una_dogger's 0.02 (which is worth inherently less) is that the food sucks, but if they let us all in to drink there, why not??
EDIT I think the food isn't good -- noted above, that is my opinion and not really worth much! However, others feel passionately about them so I say, Give them a try and see for yourself, they are a hiker friendly establishment and a hot meal and a beer after a cold winter hike is appreciated always!
