Trails: Falling Waters, Franconia Ridge, Greenleaf, Old Bridle Path
Conditions: Falling waters trail was nicely packed all the way to Little Haystack. The ridge had a mixture of crusted snow, loose powder, and ice. I wore my Hillsounds up to Lincoln and then switched to crampons. The crampons stayed on until I reached the hut, then I went back to hillsounds for the descent. The steep portion of the North side of Lafayette cone could be somewhat tricky coming down with something less than full crampons. Old Bridle Path was well packed out, but was starting to soften up from the warm sun. Turned into a fabulous day today. Bright blue sky with a warm sun and very little wind. Saw several groups out doing the loop today.
