Little Gem in my neighborhood

After moving from near Mt Mooselauke to East Dixfield, Maine nearly two years ago I finally decided to hike the "wimpy little" 1 mile trail to the open summit of Blueberry Mountain in Weld. For a little 2925 peak, this trail is a gem that packs a punch. 1300 feet of vertical in 1.2 miles and great trail with extensive views of Maine's high peaks, Mt Blue, Tumbledown and the Jacksons. Located off Maine Rt 142 with parking at the Blueberry Mountain Bible Camp at the trailhead.

LOVE it- worked a summer in Farmington years ago and yes indeed it is a good grunt up that hill! And it was aptly named- yum.

My daughter on top of Blueberry Mt a couple of years ago. Love that whole area.
