To quote Ralph Ryndak "July temperatures, October scenery". What a great day. Wonderful and scenic walk in along the Neversink valley, up an open ridge to the top of Lone, and then great woods down Lone and up Rocky, with some blowdown and scratchies in the col. Very personable group and the scenery was terrific.
I get the Bozo award for the day by getting 2 corneal abrasions, while carrying goggles in the pack.
AJ's kids are terrific. Good hikers already, well behaved and comfortable in all their surroundings.
Bookah (67/100) enjoyed eveyone's company, and Ralph did his usual nice job of ferreting out the best ways to go.
Just a great day to be out in the woods with this group of hikers.

I had a great time. Huge thanks to Harry and Ralph for leading us. Thanks also to Alan, Al T, and the other Al for navigating assistance and route advice. (There were 4 "Al's on this hike!) Was nice meeting Al and Matty, and Al's kids Fiona and AJ. They are amazing kids, and did incredibly well.

Alan, glad your eye is healing. I was thinking about you this morning and was hoping you would see a doctor. I'm relieved you did.
