Did anyone hear about a fatality at Loon yesterday?

I heard that a student was tubing and went of a trail and hit a tree

Thanks for the Globe article. Too bad the mt didn't shut down the tubbing because of the ice. It's one thing to be on skis on ice-use can use edges-a tube would make you very vulnerable to an accident such as this.

No night skiing at Loon, night tubing has been going for at least at few years now that I can remember, maybe longer.

How terrible, very sad and certainly the fear of many parents sending off their children to college. Yeah, everywhere I've read, the snow had a nice icing. Those tubes probably had nice speed (and a deadly trajectory). RIP young lady.
