Lost in the NH100

[Barbarossa]

I did an overnighter Friday & Saturday, bagging 3 peaks. Terrace Mountain was a pleasant walk with a relatively flat ridge. I spent the night at Cabot Cabin, which was in very good repair. It was cooler inside during the afternoon. so I propped the door open to allow in a bit of heat.

Saturday I continued over Cabot, The Bulge & The Horn. I could see undercast from the ridge of Cabot, but by the time I reached The Horn it was raining and the valley was no longer visible. At Unknown Pond I weighed my choices: Back to the car in under two hours or bushwhack in the rain.

I saved Unknown Pond Peak for another day.

But that is not why I am posting this report.

I found your gear!

My basement has enough junk already. If you can describe any of the following items I'll gladly send it/them to you.

Sunglasses: Found on Whiteface Brook, southeast of Mount Lowell.

Hiking pole:Found on the upper slopes of Vose Spur.

A glove: Found on the the Carrigain Notch Trail, returning from Vose Spur. I think I have a good idea of the owner.

Compass: A nice one, found on the summit of The Horn.
