Dog > Owner > Rescuers ?

"The dog was panicking, and I thought he was going to get hurt more. It looked like I could control my slide and not get hurt myself," Rosenfeld said. "But I knew I wasn't likely going to get out on my own. That's when I actually asked Chris, the first fellow hiker, to seek help, because I knew there would be a need for it."

Glad everything turned out okay, dogs are great. Hopefully the rescuers didn't mind being called out for this easily avoided "accident".
